What’s inside
Built for IT teams and MSPs running on-premise or hosted servers.
Patching and updates 4 items
-
Review pending OS updates
Note anything deferred and why — deferred is a decision, not an oversight.
-
Apply approved patches
Follow your change window. Record what was applied against the asset.
-
Confirm reboot completed cleanly
Services back up, no failed starts in the log.
-
Update firmware and drivers
Especially storage controllers and network adapters.
Backup and recovery 3 items
-
Verify last successful backup
A green dashboard is not verification. Confirm the job completed and the data is where you expect.
-
Perform a test restore
Restore something real. An untested backup is a hypothesis.
-
Check retention against policy
Confirm you are keeping what you promised the client or the auditor.
Capacity and health 4 items
-
Check disk space
Note anything above 80% and act rather than record it again next month.
-
Review memory and CPU trend
A month-over-month trend tells you more than today's number.
-
Review event and error logs
Look for recurring errors that never became tickets.
-
Check certificate expiry
Anything expiring in the next 90 days needs a task now, not a page later.
Security and documentation 3 items
-
Confirm antivirus is healthy
Real-time protection on and signatures current.
-
Review local administrator accounts
Anyone who should no longer have access, and any account with no owner.
-
Update documentation
If anything changed this month, the runbook changed too.
How to use it

Import
In Vertask, go to Workbooks → Import and choose the file. It becomes a working checklist.
Make it yours
Edit any step, add your own, then clone it per client, property or device.
Importing needs the Workbooks feature, which is on paid plans. The file is plain JSON, so you can open and adapt it either way.
