What’s inside

Built for MSPs and IT consultancies taking on a new client.

  • Record the signed agreement
Store it against the client with its start and renewal dates.
  • Agree service levels
Response and resolution targets by priority, and the hours they apply in.

Who can raise a ticket, who can approve spend, who is the escalation.
  • Set the review cadence
Book the first review now, while everyone is still enthusiastic.

Discovery  5 items

Everything: servers, endpoints, network gear, printers. Record serials and warranty dates.

  • List the applications
Line-of-business apps, who supports each one, and renewal dates.
  • Identify the backup position
What is protected, how often, where it goes and when it was last restored.
  • Note obvious risk
Unsupported operating systems, missing MFA, shared admin credentials.

Access and tooling  4 items

  • Obtain administrative access
Directory, firewall, hypervisor, backup console. Store credentials properly.
  • Enrol devices into management
Confirm every device you are responsible for is actually reporting.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting
Confirm alerts reach a queue, not one person's inbox.
  • Invite the client to the portal
Show them how to raise and track a request.

First 30 days  2 items

  • Remediate the critical findings
The risks from discovery that should not wait for a project.
  • Hold the first review
Confirm the ticket volume, response performance and what to prioritise next.

How to use it

1

Download

Grab the file. No sign-up, no email wall.

2

Import

In Vertask, go to Workbooks → Import and choose the file. It becomes a working checklist.

3

Make it yours

Edit any step, add your own, then clone it per client, property or device.

Importing needs the Workbooks feature, which is on paid plans. The file is plain JSON, so you can open and adapt it either way.
