Creating a new knowledge base entry in Vertask is quick and easy. To create a new kb, simply expand the knowledge base option on the left nav, and click "New KB"...

  • You can also click the "+" on the top nav, and select "New KB"

You will then be prompted to give your KB a title. For example, you can enter a title like "How to reset passwords". After you enter a title, click the "Create KB" button.

After the KB is created, the next step is to add a page to the KB. A page helps keep your KB organized. For example, you may have a page on "how to reset email password", another page on "how to reset network password", one on "how to reset ERP system password", and so on. Each page would provide detailed instructions on how to reset passwords for each of these systems. This allows you to be as organized as you want.

In addition to adding pages, you also have some other options. On the right nav, you can

  • add tags to the KB to help you find it later when using search.
  • allow it to appear on the self-service portal. The self-service portal allows end-users (clients) to see the kb in their own dashboard.
  • Assign permissions and specify which agents can view and edit the KB
  • and delete the KB
